The MMGuardian Phone is a customized Samsung phone protected using MMGuardian technology and understanding of the needs of parents and children, developed from over 10 years of providing parental control solutions.

Each MMGuardian Phone comes with a short list of Samsung and Google apps pre-installed including: calculator, calendar, camera, clock, contacts, (picture) gallery, text messaging, and maps. Google Play and Google Chrome are installed but are password protected by default.

With an MMGuardian Phone, you will not be limited to selecting from a short list of available apps and games.  Any app that a normal Samsung phone could install from Google Play is available. However, you will be in control of what apps your child is able to access. And for younger children, if you want to not allow any apps at all, that is also possible.

The MMGuardian Phone is the combination of a premium Samsung phone and the MMGuardian technology and expertise developed from over 10 years providing parental control solutions for Android and iPhones.

The MMGuardian app for Android is able to provide key parental control functions such as GPS location, text monitoring, contact management, app control and usage restrictions combined with strong anti-tamper measures.

However, as the parental control functions are built-in to the MMGuardian Phone as well as all the functions available from the app, an even better parental control and monitoring performance is possible. This includes additional anti-tamper measures such as restricting the use of safe mode or factory reset by your child in an attempt to work around the rules you set.

Additionally, as is the case with the app, the MMGuardian Phone enables you to customize the phone to match your child’s maturity: for younger children you can lock the phone down even to the extent of not permitting internet access or installation of apps, while for older children you can allow your child to have more freedom.

While the MMGuardian app is the most tamper-proof parental control app available in Google Play, there are limitations to its anti-tampering capabilities due to a lack of access to the phone system level API (in other words, a downloadable app can only do so much from a technical perspective).

Since MMGuardian is built into the MMGuardian Phone, it has access to very powerful, system-level features, making it extremely tamper-proof. Children cannot even use safe mode or factory resets to bypass restrictions. Parents can also completely disable phone settings and prevent kids from side-loading apps onto the phone from outside of Google Play.

Not to mention, with the app built into the phone, you don’t have to worry about the process of deciding on a phone for your child, figuring out which apps to install, going through the process of enabling permissions, etc. You simply receive the MMGuardian Phone, turn it on, and follow the simple instructions.

There is also a factor of increased reliability- if apps or phones require updates or changes, we can quickly push them to your child’s phone. We don’t have to wait for the approval in any app stores which can take some time. This means you’ll have the newest updates as soon as they are ready.
